Mascara is the perfect finishing touch to any make up look. Whether its black, brown or even a coloured shade, mascara has the power to immediately elevate your make up.

As well as colours they are able to range in features such as waterproof, lengthening and volume.

Within this blog we will show you a selection of mascaras which specialise in different features and offer different shades in order for you to find your perfect mascara!

First up we have the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara which costs around £7. This mascara’s applicator is designed to maximise volume and length.

It comes in three shades which are ‘Blackest Black’, ‘Very Black’ & ‘Brownish Black’. These shades come in a waterproof version as well.

It has been said that this mascara takes some time to dry and is hard to remove which is something to bare in mind.

Next up is the L’Oréal Paris Paradise Mascara costing around £10. The Paradise mascara leaves your lashes feeling light, long and fluttery.

They only have two black shades which are also available in a waterproof formula.

However, this mascara isn’t optimal for curling lashes therefore a separate curling tool may be necessary to get the perfect look.

The next mascara is the Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Mascara, costing around £30. This mascara is usually only sold in ‘Jet Black’ however, Benefit do sell limited edition versions.

This mascara is higher on the price range however it provides you with deep black and voluminous lashes. Due to the applicator, the lashes are separated adding to the lengthen of them.

The formula can be challenging to remove so it is important to have an effective make up remover that won’t damage your lashes.

Next up we have the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, costing about £20. This is a very popular mascara due to its strong shade of black. Like the Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Mascara, they offer limited edition shades.

This product is long lasting and will leave your lashes long and perfectly curled.

However, due to the heavier formula some customers have said they have had issues with clumped lashes and removing the product.

Next we have the Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara which costs around £22. The shades are only two different types of black.

This mascara is commended on its lightweight formula which leaves your lashes fluttery, long and voluminous.

The next mascara is the Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Mascara which costs just under £30. This is more expensive compared with some of the other products however, the wand is designed to leave you with a dramatic look.

Due to the design of the applicator this means the mascara can easily coat your lashes whilst curling them simultaneously.

The next product is the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara, which costs around £20. This mascara only has two shades of black. This mascara comes with a wand to help separate your lashes and to ensure each lash is coated in the product.

The deep black shade leaves you with a bold finished look. This formula takes time to dry which could maximise the chance of smudging.

The next mascara is the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara costing around £5 which is a lot more affordable. The design of this wand is similar to the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and it is designed to prevent clumping.

This product only has a black or brown shade which may not suit everyone. However, it has the ability of creating long and full look.

The next mascara is the NYX Professional Makeup Worth the Hype Mascara which costs around £8. This has a buildable formula which allows you to add further volume and length.

It has also got two shades which is limited. However, this mascara is commended on their lengthening qualities which leave your lashes becoming the star of your face!

The next mascara is the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara which costs around £8. This products wand is designed to leave you with a retro finish by giving you a wide eyed look.

It is long lasting but has a possibility of leaving your lashes clumped and is only available in one shade which is black.

The next mascara is Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara which costs around £5. This product is easy to remove, affordable and still leaves your lashes looking long and full.

There is only one shade which is black and may take longer to dry.

Overall, it is an affordable mascara which will still leave you with gorgeous looking lashes!

Our final mascara that we recommend is the YSL Beauty Volume Effet Faux Cils Mascara which costs just under £30.

This product is more high end, has a high quality formula and strong colour pigment which give your lashes the lift they need to perfect your make up look.

All of these mascaras have their pros and cons which give you all the information you need to find your perfect mascara!

Always be aware of the ingredients incase of any allergies or sensitive skin.
