How to clear up your skin. Tips and tricks!

In order to give your skin the best chance to be clear and acne free there are various steps you can take which maximise your chances.

It is important to remember people can be more susceptible to acne prone skin and if you struggle with this seek medical or dermatological help.

You must read the instructions on each bottle prior to use.

Throughout this blog we will give you the tips and tricks to give you the best chance to clear up your skin.

There are various steps which can help throughout this process however, it is important to remember this is not an overnight fix and you must remain consistent to see the best results.

We will show you some cleansers, exfoliators, spot treatments and general health tips which will help you on your way to having healthier and clear skin.

First up we have cleansers. It important to have cleansers as part of your skincare routine as they remove the dirt and clear out your pores each day.

These two cleansers are specifically designed for acne prone skin and work to reverse this.

First up we have the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, this cleanser has properties which make it perfect for oilier skin.

The product is effective for removing dirt and clearing out pores as well as being recommended by dermatologists.

This product does not exfoliate your skin so it is important to have a separate exfoliating product if you do use this.

The next cleanser is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel. This product is very similar to the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.

It has ingredients which deeply cleanse your skin whilst still being gentle on your skin and having the ability to control the oil on your skin.

Due to its non-comedogenic aspect this means it doesn’t clog up your pores.

Although this may be slightly higher price wise, it is a product which is worth investing in.

Once you have cleansed it is important to exfoliate your skin. Here are three effective products to choose from.

First up we have the Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution.

The ingredients within this product are very effective at exfoliating which leave your skin bright.

Due to the combination of ingredients this means the product can target different problems. For example, acne, dryness and clogged pores can all be treated.

However, this can mean the formula is very strong which can damage more sensitive skin.

Next we have the REN Clean Skincare Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic. This product is more suitable for more sensitive skin compared with the Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution.

It gently exfoliates whilst still brightening your skin with its lightweight formula. Although this may mean it is not strong enough for certain peoples skin.

The final exfoliator is the Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. This product is a strong exfoliant as well as reducing redness and irritation.

It also works to smooth your skin however, as part of the process your skin will get worse before it gets better which is something to bare in mind.

Spot treatments can often work well to clear up skin.

The first product is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+. This is designed to target acne prone skin and has the ability to control oil.

It has a lightweight texture as well as being dermatologically approved. However, it can dry certain skin types out so may not suit more sensitive skin.

Next up we have the Body Shop tea tree oil. This is more of a natural product and has soothing properties to target spots. This product works well with sensitive skin and can also reduce redness and irritation.

However, it has a strong scent which people can dislike. This product is affordable and works well with people who get a few spots as oppose to having acne.

The final spot treatment is the Neutrogena Clear Rapid Clear Spot Treatment. This is a fast acting formula which targets spots effectively.

The product comes in a smal, portable tube which is easy to keep with you at all times.

However, be aware of the ingredients as it can be strong and cause irritation to certain skin types.

Other than products it is important to care for your skin through a healthy lifestyle.

Hydration is so important when it comes to your skin. By ensuring you are drinking enough water this helps to keep your skin moisturised.

Exercise is also a very important factor which effects the condition of your skin. By increasing blood flow, this leaves your skin bright.

Exercise helps to relieve stress which can often be a cause of acne. As well as sweat helps to remove unwanted toxins within the skin.

Diet is a hugely influential factor on the condition of your skin. You must ensure you are getting the right vitamins and foods in order to look after not only your skin but your body as well.

By following all of these steps, your chances of having clear and bright skin are very high!
